Costs

 

The cost of sessions is dependent on the type of professional you see. Each individual practitioner sets their own rates, below is a guideline for people that are self funding their treatment, please check the costs before commencing treatment as the prices below are only for rough guidance.

 

Psychotherapist:

 

Initial assessment: £150.00

Follow up: £150.00

 

Clinical or Counselling Psychologist:

 

Initial assessment: £120.00 - £180.00

Follow up: £120.00 - £180.00

 

Consultant Psychiatrist:

 

Initial assessment: £400.00 - £450.00, depending on the length of the assessment. Cost includes report sent to the patient's GP

Follow up: £200.00 - £450.00 depending on whether the follow ups are for 30 minutes or an hour.

Private Medical Insurance

 

Please check with the individual practitioner if you are using private medical insurance to fund your treatment to ensure they are happy to accept the insurere. It is also recommended contacting your healthcare provider to check the level of cover and to obtain an authorisation number prior to attending the appointment.
